- **.sf2**: SoundFont 2 — a widely supported sampler format with samples and key zones.

- **.uvn / .uvd**: Yamaha voice and Yamaha drum kit files.
- **.voi / .kit**: Medeli voice (sampler) and Medeli drum kit files.
- **ACMP**: Accompaniment track that follows the chords (KORG term).
- **AKX / Zen set**: A Medeli expansion (folder with a `.GSTarget` file) for the AKX10 / AKX10S, organised in packs.
- **CASM**: The chord-rule section of a Yamaha style (also used by Medeli).
- **Chord Variation (CV)**: A version of a style element played for certain chord types (e.g. major, minor, seventh). KORG styles can have up to 6 per element.
- **Community**: The PA SET Explorer website area where musicians share styles, samples and drum kits.
- **Compression (DPCM)**: A way some KORG models store samples smaller, so more fit into memory.
- **Copy Options**: SetManager switches that decide what travels with a copied style (samples, STS, pads, guitar transcription…).
- **Drum kit**: A sound where every key plays a different drum or percussion sample.
- **Element**: A part of a style: Intro, Variation, Fill, Break or Ending.
- **Guitar Mode**: A KORG style track mode where special trigger notes play guitar strums. Other brands need them transcribed into real notes.
- **High Key**: The note above which a chord-following track folds down an octave.
- **Import/Merge**: SetManager button to open a second KORG SET/KST (SET B) or a Medeli AKX set next to SET A.
- **KST**: The PA5X version of a SET. Its name ends in `.KST`; styles are `.stg` files in folders.
- **MSB / LSB / PC**: The three numbers (bank select MSB, bank select LSB and Program Change) that call a sound. Styles use them to choose their sounds.
- **Multisample**: A set of samples spread over the keyboard (key zones) used by an oscillator.
- **NTR**: Note Transposition Rule: how a track follows the chord root (Root Trans / Root Fixed / Guitar).
- **NTT**: Note Transposition Table: how a track’s notes adapt to the chord type (Bypass, Melody, Chord…).
- **Oscillator**: One layer of a sound. Each plays a multisample with its own range, velocity, octave and tune.
- **OTS**: One Touch Setting — Yamaha’s version of STS.
- **PA SET EXPLORER MIDI**: A special .mid made by the Converter that keeps the original style inside, so you can edit it in a DAW and convert it back.
- **Pack**: A group inside an AKX set: Samples (.voi), DrumKits (.kit), Pads (.pad) or Styles (.sty).
- **Pad**: A short sequence (hit, loop or phrase) triggered by the pad buttons of the keyboard.
- **PCM / sample**: A recorded audio sample stored in the SET’s PCM banks (`RAM01.PCM`…).
- **PCM bank**: One `RAMnn.PCM` file holding samples.
- **Performance**: A saved keyboard setup (sounds and settings) in a KORG SET.

- **RAM.KMP**: The file that maps samples to keys and velocities (the multisamples) in a KORG SET.
- **Resources**: Your library of SETs, KSTs, AKX sets, styles and Community downloads in PA SET Explorer.
- **RTR**: Retrigger Rule: what held notes do when the chord changes (Stop, Pitch Shift, Retrigger…).
- **RX noises**: KORG’s realistic guitar noises (fret, strum, mute).
- **Sampler**: A user sound built from samples (a melodic instrument).
- **SET**: The folder a KORG Pa keyboard (PA300 – PA4X) saves to a USB stick, with all styles, sounds, samples, pads and performances. Its name ends in `.SET`.
- **SET A**: The main SET in SetManager: the one you edit, the destination of every drag & drop, with Undo / Redo / Save.
- **SET B**: The second SET loaded with Import/Merge: the source you copy from.
- **SFF**: Style File Format — Yamaha’s style format (SFF1 / SFF2).
- **STS**: Single Touch Settings: four keyboard setups (sounds of Upper 1–3 and Lower) stored in a KORG style. Yamaha calls them OTS, Medeli QS.
- **Style**: An accompaniment pattern (drums, bass, chords…) with intros, variations, fills and endings that follows the chords you play.
- **Style Database**: The online database of styles you can browse inside the program (when available).
